Independent Reading (This is week #13)
Mini-Lesson:
Good readers are able to visualize what they are reading.  
Essential Questions:
Am I able to make a "mind movie" of what I've read? Can I picture the people, places, events and/or information being described to help me understand what is happening?
Work Time:
We are going to the library today! You may stop by you locker to get a book to return if you need to. Remember, no cell phones!

How can I demonstrate my understanding of my Genius Hour topic? 
Can I support my claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence?

I am collecting many websties for my topic and they are bookmarked in my Genius Hour folder.
I stay on task during the work time in class. 
I know whay my inquiry question is and I am researching ways to answer that question. 
I am beginning to put together ideas for how I will present my information to the class in April. 
    Mini-Lesson:
    Today, we will learn about some possible ways to present our Genius Hour project.

    Examples of a Genius Hour Presentations:

    Genius Hour: History of Bow Ties

    Genius Hour project (special feature dreams of a Lego man)

    In class, we will continue to do research for our Genius Hour project.

    We will create a bibliography of our works cited using EasyBib.
