Unit 2: Analyze to Understand
 Essential Questions:
Why do writers choose to revise and edit their writing? How does good writing make for easy reading? 
I will know I am successful when:
I am able to work in a small group to provide critical feedback to a peer about a piece of writing. 
Mini-Lesson:
Email to Main Character: Revision and Editing:

  • For each item, you must write a paragraph.
  • Each paragraph must have at least 3-5 sentences.
  • You must have a greeting and a closing.

    Work Time:
    1. Critical Friends peer review of writing using the assignment: "Email to Main Character"

    2. Email to Main Character: Revision and Editing
      Debrief: 
      Ticket-Out-The-Door: Citizenship 
      Homework:
      Finish the assignment: Email to Main Character

      Turn in a Late Assignment Turn In Sheet for any late work

      Reading 30 Minutes
      Update your reading list (It's in Google Classroom)
